McCarthy Stone, the UK’s leading developer and manager of retirement communities, has recently acquired an interest in land at the former Bowls Club, Church Walk, Gravesend.

We are bringing forward proposals for a new specialist extra care community to help address the needs of Gravesend’s growing ageing population.

Our Vision

Our vision involves redeveloping the site to provide a new retirement community, together with tailored indoor communal facilities and associated on-site car parking spaces.

Project Status

As part of our commitment to community engagement we are holding a virtual public consultation between Thursday 22 September and Thursday 06 October 2022 to enable local people to view our proposals and provide us with feedback on the plans.

We encourage you to complete an online feedback form on the website, so we can understand your thoughts and suggestions ahead of submitting a planning application to Gravesham Borough Council.
